5 lbs ignicolor chanterelles 10 lbs honey mushrooms, black trumpets, hedgehogs, fairy rings, king bolete, chestnut boletes, cinnibars, and a lapeota, and lobsters. Working on storing now, back out tomorow. Honeys were everywhere.

Nice haul ! Things are starting to pick up in the North, now that we got some torrential downpours. Chanterelle Season kind of sucked cause of no rain.

Thanks jack. I saw a lot of mushrooms I wasn't comfortable picking as well. There is a ton of lactarious out there bit I don't pick any. Also boletes and scaber stalks, bicolors were everywhere bit I'm just not there yet. Finding enough of the good stuff to slip up and get a bad one!

Re: Good haul

I found my first ignicolors yesterday. Growing with some goldens and cinnibars. I love how the ignicolors have such interesting shapes.

I'm the same as you, I don't pick the lactarius or boletes. Not to eat anyways. Maybe next year. Of course if I happen to find some kings I'll pick those. They are such an awesome mushroom with a fantastic texture.

You know what? I haven't seen a single lobster mushroom!

Lots and lots of Jack o lanterns. Only one group of old honeys.... about 3 weeks ago. Not a single giant puffball. But those lactarius and corts are everywhere! The purple ones really catch my eye.

I also have pictures of the mushrooms that grow on decomposing mushrooms. I'll have to post some of those when I can get on the computer. I made the mistake of touching the decomposing mushroom....ugh... rotten meat smell would not go away!

I can't go shrooming today. Have to go to my mom's for a get together.

Re: Good haul

Those are the best looking "honeys" I've ever seen!

I'm actually very envious of that find!

I'll keep an eye out for them tomorrow as I'm out in my haunts looking for my drivers license. Who knows if I don't find it maybe Ill find the I-phone 4 I lost last year.
