Help Identify These?

What are these? I think the two are blewits, but that all orange giant has me stumped. No gills. Pores that continue down the stem.

Re: Help Identify These?

Now I think the orange one is a lobster mushroom. A parasitic fungus attacking a host such as a russica.

Yup on the lobster.
Clitocybe nuda (blewits) for the others could easily be wrong. We've got a number (I think) of all purple Cortinarus - many this year. They look "too purple". If young, see if there is a partial viel, and look for the "cortina", and make a spore print (Cortinarus give brown). Cortinarus have gills less dense and fatter than Clitocybe. Also I don't find C. nuda common near me (Washtenaw, Jackson). C. irina (or something quite like it) is common though, often in fairy rings, but it is a bit difficult cause it looks fairly similar to lots of other things. It's not bad for eating.

Re: Help Identify These?

Thanks! Yeah not sure about those blue ones. I found a whole bunch more lobster mushrooms. It must be a good year for them. It's interesting how they kind of smell like shellfish as well. But on a rather interesting note I found some whitish gray mushrooms growing in a clump and underneath them some deformed white fungus and then I looked around and there was a whole bunch of that deformed white fungus. I'll try to go back and get a picture of it. It almost look like a lobster mushroom variant. Just the wrong color.
