Quick question!

I do pretty good each yr finding morels around dead elms. Never have looked for them around ash, poplar, do these trees need to be dead as well?

Re: Quick question!

Ash trees need to be living.

I used to do real well around living ash trees finding yellows and grays.

Now that the ash trees are mostly dead, I hardly find any in the woods anymore.

I have started looking other areas, like around Eastern White Pine (living) and living apple trees.

Re: Quick question!

I have found yellows and Grey's near dead ash this year!! They were by ash trees that have never produced before. I also have been finding them by oak and honeysuckle this year.
