Bow Hunters

How do you hunt for mushrooms on state land when it is bow season? I tried last year and walked upon a bait pile, could not find the hunter, not that I was really trying to. Just very weird and got my behind out of there and never went back. It was only about 30 ft from the road I thought I was safe there. What is the proper way to handle other hunters on state land? Any imput from hunters greatly appreciated. Becky

Thanks, my husband bow hunts also and told me the same thing. Just needed some reassurance. Now his apples I will steal and no quarters for him! So hold my conversations with myself to a soft wisper then.
Thanks for the advice on the orange Doug, hubby told me to put a vest on and I completely forgot. Need to hang it with my shroon gear.

Hi Becky
I also agree with Doug.
One other point to remember when you do encounter a deer hunter on stand ,
after you acknowledged him or her with a hand signal, turn and walk away the same way you came in, thats what I do when I am bird hunting ,respect them , and they will in turn ,respect you
