Unreal!

I could shoot it, and then I'd die happy! LOL
I don't think I could withstand the aftershock of it.

I totally do know what you mean, Paul. We had one time where an unfortunate wounded doe wandered into the yard out at our camp with a bobcat right on her trail. The doe bedded down and the cat sat down about 10 yards away and they just stared at each other. My father and I debated on what to do. For one thing it was 10pm in November during deer season and the report of a rifle would attract some attention. We have never shot a deer in the yard at camp, and we didn't want any neighbors to think we had changed our ways. After an hour and knowing that bobcat was just waiting until the doe got to weak to flee I had to do it. I'm sure my 30-06 sounded awfully loud at that time of night, and no one ever asked any questions. My father, grandfather, and aunts didn't even say anything when I came back in. They knew I was struggling internally with that decision. But, the good thing was, I used a doe tag and the meat was still good, so we utilized the deer fully.

That story went way too long. Sorry. But the bottom line is, I really do know what you mean, Paul.
