Fox catches squirrel

Was sitting here a few moments ago and caught movement out fo the corner of my eye and it was one of the resident Fox putting on a stalk and with a burst of speed it ambushed a big gray squirrel, absolutly awsome. The squirrel did'nt have a chance being caught so far from the safety of a tree.Kind of a sad thing to see but thats the way things work in nature,we just don't see it too often. This kind of thing goes on 24/7 around the world but until you see it at 20 yrds, you don't think about it much.....Mother Nature is an awsome Mom....

I've never seen one in a tree, but I have read on the internet, that the grey fox are capable of climbing into the low hanging limbs of trees to get at fruit, mike

I saw an owl swoop down and snatch a big fox squirrel one time. The bird had a time getting back up with it as he flew down a creek, the squirrel was dragged through the water. The owl finally gained the altitude needed.
