Hey mike,

Do the mantis eat the lady bugs? What kind of job do they do on the japanese beetles?

No George, they will eat the larvae of the Lady bug, but not the ladybug itself, as a ladybug when caught lays on its back and uses it wings as a protective shield for their soft underbelly,if ya want some George let me know quick, as I'm down to my 10 egg cases, outside of the ones I can't remove from plants ,cinderblocks and house foundation, mike

It sounds as though you have already some takers. If they can do a job on japanese beetles, I'll just order a few. Thanks anyway,

George

George, I'll send ya 2 cases, they will eat Jap Beetles, but at an early stage only, all beetles have the ladybug adaptabilty, of belly protestion, try using the natural bacteria remedy that kills em dead, mike

Are you talking about Milky Spore? How do you apply it? I'm thinking, my pole beans attract all the japanese beetles in Western Michigan.

Yes milky spore, that kills the grubs, just sprinkle it on the ground about every 3 feet, and it takes over and spreads thru the soil, mike
