Mushroomexpert board

I was just wondering if anyone knows where the MushroomExpert discussion board went. I know it has moved before, but it seems like it might be shut down now.
Thanks

Stan, he did away with it. According to him it was too much hassle and he felt bad that 2 or 3 people helped out with it. I personally feel that his site is becoming more technical and he wanted to get rid of the "novice morel hunters". Jusy my opinion and even so, we're all welcome here. They are gathering elsewhere but I won't post the link here. If you're interested in where some of the regulars over there have gone, pm me and I'll give you the url.

Thanks

Thanks Rex, I figured it was something like that, especially as traffic picks up this time of year. Thanks for the update.

I have no desire to visit another site, when I can find more knowledge here than I could absorb in a lifetime. You people are the Greatest!

Hi Rex
What about the morel progression maps? Are you still involved?
Hate to see that disappear, It is cool to track them tasty little varmints as they head our way!

I'll second greys voice on that, if all we do is rely on each others thought, opinions and observations, then the chance to educate ourselves and others diminishes, I always look forward to new members joining or veteran hunters joining us here, as new insight, thoughts and observances open my eye and mind also, to improve all of our hunting skills, new insight is constantly needed, but with all of the friendships that have been formed here, we all migrate back here to shoot the breeze with friends, and nothing wrong with that, mike

I stopped doing the progress maps last year Dennis. Others were doing their version elsewhere and they are just as good overall. And a lot of times folks were out hunting and I was sitting there doing maps.
I agree with greys on both fronts.

You got it right Jon, the need for improvement and variances in out train of thoughts is needed to stimulate us to search for more answers and ask more questions constantly, we are never completely knowledgeable on any subject, as a great man once stated, "man has always questioned the basic thoughts of others since the beginning of mans time, and improved on the base thought, when man stops trying to improve the thoughts of others, mans days are numbered",

Jon, I'm a shroom hunter, I don't have the time to sit and actually think of writing a book, but it is a thought in the back of my mind, that some day I would like to attempt to, but it is way on the back burner, mike
