found these today,to small to pick,left them to grow some. i know someone is going to beat me to them. just like last year.

How is it that one careless match can start a forest fire,but it takes a whole box to start a campfire??

After that rain monday in shelby those greys will be an inch or two larger in the morning and that woodbutcher is retired. Go back and check their size tomorrow. Keep us posted...Last year in the UP I watered and covered about 8 with jars overnight....most of them doubled in size overnight. Some one inch blacks that I did not cover were 3 inches the next morning.

Thanks folks for the kind words. You are right about me putting in the time todd. And since i can't find the blacks like you do, I'd figure i might as well beat you by finding to the lowley COMMON ones.

Found these today under 1 tree. one cluster of 8 and another with 9.
