Ontario finds

First good finds in Ontario.
Almost froze hunting but wife and I managed to find about 40 yesterday.
Several grays and some quite large yellows which was a surprise.
Hope the photo comes through first photo post on here.
Happy hunting ..back to the woods we go.

That's the biggest patch of morels I've ever seen in a pile of oak leaves. What other trees were around there? Very nice!!

Mostly Oak trees mixed with Red Pine that we hunted last Thursday...sandy area that we have hunted for a few years. Actually very odd hunting there...basically nothing specific about where we find them...and miles and miles of the same type of Savana...real hit and miss hunting...and yess the GPS sure is saving my memory cells!!!! Even though random where you find them they do come up exactly in the same place year after year.
Here is a pic from Nora and my weekend of hunting more traditonal elm areas of Midwestern Ontario. Ended up with about 150. Twas a delightful mother's day indeed !

Nice Haul there John and Nora, good looking morels.

How is it that one careless match can start a forest fire, but it takes a whole box to start a campfire??
