that's why I have this handle

Hi Gang,
Well, here is my "hen hall" for the last two days. All the dark ones were around dead oaks beside a pond. The "white" one was in the shallow woods, twenty feet from the edge of a paved road next to a live oak.
I captured 22 in all since September 5th. The average weight of each hen is 5 pounds.
Last year was my rookie season for fall 'shrooms and I found 8 Hens in all.
Real glad to be with this group of " fungis' "; and I hope to become an active member and attend some of your outings.

Bye, bye for now,
luckyshroomer

Ps, God tells me where to look and he guides my steps for 'shrooms and I find every time I go out.

Nice work Brian. I have never found one as light as the one in the 2nd pic.

Bet it tastes as good as the others.

Re: My first hen(s) find of season

Thanks guys!
The first Hen(s)find was on September 5th in the middle of the woods
around a decomposed stump of a fallen Oak...6 all in a circle, the largest being 5.5 pounds. Every time I go out for Hens since...I find!; and i have looked in 6 different woods too...I'ts a god thing, I'm sure.
