Tim,

When air drying, a old window screen works good, but it's best when you can keep the heat up a little and use a fan to increase air circulation.

When all else fails, use the oven method. Heat the oven up to about 100 deg. put them in and leave the door slightly open for moisture to escape. Keep doing that till they dry. Or better yet get a good dehydrator. I have an Excaliber that I've had for over 20 yrs. I've had it running 24/7 for many days at a time and never had a problem with it. If you're an avid shroomer, you should have one anyway. They're worth their weight in gold. Under $200.00 Also dries vegies & beef jerky great.

If you don't have a electric dryer, then the screen and fan method is best in my opinions. Almost as fast as a dryer.
Better than oven, which I also used early on, but partial cooked dried morels don't rehydrate too well.

Fan and Screen for now.

Sell a few morels this year, and get cash for a dryer next year.
